As a Provider Affiliate, this page will be your single source for all you need to make the program successful. Remember the goal of this program is not to earn Referral Bonuses (which you will), but to transition your patient base from a poor reimbursing vision plan to Vision Care Direct that has much higher reimbursements.
Provider Affiliate Resources
On this page, you will be able to download or order several resources to promote Vision Care Direct to local businesses in your community. All of our materials will drive people to web links where we will make sure you get credit for the lead and when we sell the account, you will earn your Referral Bonus.
- Logos - Make sure your website is up to date and has Vision Care Direct included
- Banners - Some websites have Banner placement areas, so we included several standard banner sizes for you to download and place on your website.
- Flyers - We've built two flyers. One flyer is for Individual Patients and the other is for Local Employers.
- Promotional Email Templates - Several doctors have told us that their EHR system will let them sort by vision plan and send emails, so we built email templates so you can easily promote Vision Care Direct.
- Promotional Direct Mail Templates - Some systems don't have the ability to send broadcast emails, so we built some Letter Templates you can send to company decision-makers in your area.

Patient Handout - Recommend Vision Care Direct
You can order these preprint cards for your practice. The goal is to give one to every patient that has a plan you would like to switch for whatever reason. Maybe the plan has low reimbursements, or controls which lab you use, or possibly forces you to discount items they don't even reimburse you for. Whatever the reason, you can make your practice more profitable. The backside of the card has instructions for the employee's benefits manager on how to request a quote. All you have to do is write your doctor's name or practice name on the space provided on the front of the card.

Calculating Referral Bonuses
When calculating Referral Bonuses we will take the first month's premium bill to the new company, annualized it, and multiply the total by 3%. In polling doctors interested in this program, the majority said they would prefer one larger check upfront instead of monthly checks for each referral. Here is an example bill for Oral Roberts University. Member names have been redacted.
In this Example; the monthly bill for member premiums is $4,798.46. If we annualized the bill we get $4,798.46 x 12 = $57,583.20.
Next, we multiply the annualized amount by 3% equals a Referral Bonus of $1,727.50.
Frequently Asked Questions
If we have several doctors referring the same business, we will defer on a case-by-case basis, but generally to whichever doctor submitted the most qualified lead first.
